## About the Role

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or related STEM Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

 * Experience modeling and analyzing EO/IR systems technologies.
 * Experience modeling sensor phenomenology and target signatures.
 * An active and transferable U.S. Secret government issued security clearance is required at the time of application for this position. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Ability to obtain additional clearances., * Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or related STEM Degree.
 * Experience working with tools (eg: MODTRAN, NVIPM, FLITES, etc.) for modeling and analyzing EO/IR systems.
 * Experience using scripting languages (eg: Python, Perl) to automate tasks.
 * Experience with scientific programming languages (eg: MATLAB) to analyze data results.
 * Experience leading a team of engineers or analysts, including assigning tasks and scheduling deadlines for delivering work products.
 * Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.

As a Principal System Engineer - EO/IR Analyst, you will be part of a diverse team of systems engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class Raytheon products for the warfighter. Your work will help determine and demonstrate appropriate EO/IR solutions for systems and systems-of-systems operating in complex threat environments. In this role, you will interact with internal Raytheon customers and external U.S. customers. You will be leading a team of analysts working closely with our company's leaders to respond to customer requests in a timely manner. You will be responsible for modeling and analyzing EO/IR sensor products to help design and deliver combat capable solutions. This will include modeling and analyzing associated EO/IR technologies to effectively understand the behaviors of these systems and help define solutions that achieve mission success. workforce.

 * Developing EO/IR system models.
