## About the Role

* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
 * Experience:
 + Experience in requirements analysis, design reviews, product integration, and verification/validation (including certification) of hardware-software test systems.
 + Demonstrated experience with test equipment and test set hardware (reading schematics, hardware inspections, and calibration reviews).
 * Technical Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot LabVIEW/TestStand and C/C++ test code to verify software implementations satisfy system requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
 * Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (Okay to start without a clearance; must be able to obtain one).
 * Travel: Ability to travel to sites, supplier locations, and test facilities as needed., * Certified Software Quality Engineer (ASQ CSQE).
 * Knowledge of industry-recognized quality models (CMMI, ISO, AS, FAA regulations).
 * Green or Black Belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma (LSS).
 * Experience collaborating with software suppliers on test equipment and with Government/DoD customers.
 * In-depth expertise with National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW and TestStand environments (beyond basic code interpretation)., * Special Instructions: Looking for a candidate with true software quality and test equipment experience, specifically familiar with LabView, TestStand, drawing reviews, and cable inspections.

## Description

The selected candidate will serve as the Software Quality Engineer Staff - Test Engineering Hardware (HW) SME for the Software Quality Engineering team. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining SSQE common processes aligned with AS9100, CMMI, and customer requirements.

As the Software Quality Engineer Staff, you will drive software quality across test equipment and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, shaping critical quality initiatives that directly impact program success., * Test Equipment Lifecycle: Support test equipment throughout its lifecycle-from requirements definition to certification.

 * Test Set Hardware Support: Read drawings/schematics, perform hardware and cable inspections, execute calibration/metrology reviews and approvals, perform data integrity checks, create logbooks, and conduct safety checks.
 * Documentation & Compliance: Conduct test documentation reviews, manage program non-conformance burndown, and define/execute audit strategies to ensure compliance with software and system processes.
 * Verification & Witnessing: Witness verification and validation of test equipment, including hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems.
