How you will work You will work in a hybrid engineering model with teammates across geographies. Success in this role requires hands-on technical leadership, a bias for fixing problems at their source, and a collaborative approach that builds trust with product teams, customers, and partner systems. You will connect technical decisions to employee and business outcomes while creating the feedback loops needed to improve both Salesforce products and the internal experience. ## Description As a Senior member of Technical Staff, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the Salesforce platform that powers our business operations and customer experiences. The applications and integrations you develop will streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and enable teams across the organization to work more efficiently at scale. Your work will directly impact how thousands of users interact with our systems daily and how our customers experience our services. By implementing cutting-edge capabilities like Agentforce and AI-powered features, you'll help drive innovation while ensuring platform reliability and performance. Beyond writing code, you'll influence technical architecture decisions, elevate team capabilities through code reviews and mentorship, and establish best practices that create a foundation for sustainable growth. This role offers the opportunity to make tangible business impact while growing your expertise in enterprise Salesforce development and emerging AI technologies. What You'll Actually Be Doing * Lead the technical design and implementation of production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform, balancing rapid delivery with reliability, maintainability, security, and scale. * Own complex features through requirements analysis, architecture, development, code review, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support. * Build reusable components and services that improve employee lifecycle experiences and support evolving business processes. * Design and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven, batch, and real-time patterns. * Assess the end-to-end impact of new requirements across Salesforce, enterprise data models, dependent applications, and operational processes. * Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to define scope, make sound tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality solutions. * Use AI development tools responsibly for code exploration, prototyping, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and troubleshooting; review generated output for correctness and risk before adoption. * Develop comprehensive unit, integration, regression, functional, and smoke tests, and integrate quality controls into CI and CD workflows. * Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and improve performance, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, telemetry, monitoring, and analytics. * Raise team capability through thoughtful code reviews, technical mentoring, standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing across geographies. * Track Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, including Agentforce and Prompt Builder, and recommend improvements that advance the platform responsibly.
