## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years.
 * U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
 * Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows administration experience.
 * Experience with SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, and ACAS/Nessus.
 * Understanding of STIGs and vulnerability resolution.
 * Ansible knowledge, including developing and maintaining playbooks.
 * Server installation and configuration.
 * Third-party software installation and setup for system functionality and cybersecurity services.
 * Identity Manager and domain administration.
 * VMware experience.
 * Bash and Python scripting.
 * Docker administration.
 * General network administration, including DHCP and NFS setup.
 * Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures.
 * Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

 * Outstanding communication skills.
 * Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team throughout the system life cycle.
 * Relevant certification such as Security+ CE, CAP, or GSLC.

## Description

M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to work on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Scottsdale, AZ., * Installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains servers and systems.

 * Develops and maintains Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation.
 * Performs weekly system audit reviews, media reviews, and hardware/software configuration management.
 * Runs monthly scans and works with the team to review and resolve vulnerabilities.
 * Executes security testing and evaluation to confirm security controls are implemented correctly.
 * Supports Risk Management Framework activities, including continuous monitoring and vulnerability assessment and mitigation throughout the system life cycle.
 * Performs incident response and cleanup actions when needed.
 * Ensures systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in line with security policies and the System Security Plan (SSP).
