## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree and 3 years of experience; or a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience.
 * Must be highly skilled in object-oriented design and C++ embedded software development.
 * Must have experience working with RTOS and/or bare-metal hard real-time application development.
 * Practical knowledge and experience with applicable software engineering processes.
 * Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
 * Contemporary design and development experience.
 * Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

Skills Preferred

 * Ability to conduct effective meetings, discussions, and presentations.
 * Practical knowledge and experience with applicable software management processes.
 * Practical knowledge and experience with applicable engineering development processes.
 * Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) and Client Life Cycle Management.
 * Working knowledge of the cybersecurity domain, specifically the Risk Management Framework and the requirements and processes to obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). Ideally, the candidate would possess a cybersecurity certification.
 * Weapon system and/or combat experience.

Experience Required

 * Bachelor's degree and 5 years of work experience, or equivalent experience.
 * Must-have experience:
 + Expert-level C++ programming.
