## About the Role

This organization is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to support mission-critical production database environments. The selected professional will work independently within a small, highly specialized database team to manage performance tuning, database upgrades, and patching. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate on database modernization and cloud migration initiatives., Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of eight years of professional experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting high-availability production environments.

Technical Skills: Proven expertise with Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Preferred Qualifications

 * Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
 * Database administration experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
 * Experience supporting hybrid database environments across multiple platforms.
 * Background in cloud migration and data center modernization initiatives

## Description

* Administer and support Oracle PeopleSoft environments to ensure system stability and performance.
 * Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata platforms in alignment with organizational standards.
 * Configure and optimize database deployments within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
 * Oversee backup, recovery, performance tuning, and database patching procedures.
 * Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide timely resolutions for production environments.
 * Collaborate with globally distributed or offshore support teams to maintain database availability.
