## Description

As a Software Development Engineer in Test at AAA Life, you will design, develop, and maintain automated tests and shared test infrastructure using Playwright and TypeScript to validate functionality, stability, and release readiness across our technology ecosystem. You'll be a hands-on engineer who partners closely with product owners, engineers, and QA analysts to ensure product quality and support seamless CI/CD using GitLab., * Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright and TypeScript across application repositories and shared automation libraries.

 * Build and maintain smoke, regression, and integration coverage using Playwright tagging and test selection patterns.
 * Create and maintain automated tests that run reliably in GitLab CI/CD pipelines on merge requests and scheduled runs.
 * Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and QA analysts to define testing strategies, clarify acceptance criteria, and support shift-left testing.
 * Investigate test failures, distinguish test issues from product defects, and report clear, reproducible defects with evidence.
 * Participate in code reviews for test code and follow team standards for readability, maintainability, and reliability.
 * Help upskill manual QA teammates through pairing, review feedback, and practical guidance on Playwright and TypeScript automation patterns.
 * Contribute to performance and load testing initiatives when needed.
 * Advocate for testability, automation best practices, and continuous improvement aligned with DevOps and Agile delivery.
