## About the Role

Our client is now looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager to build and establish their enterprise data governance capability from the ground up, moving them from fragmented, reactive data practices to an approach that is governed, trusted and scalable. The Data Governance Manager will have strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK (or an equivalent framework), along with practical knowledge of UK GDPR and data governance controls.

This role requires strong stakeholder management and would suit someone who enjoys changing behaviours as much as creating frameworks, leading through influence and building strong relationships across the organisation.

Key Requirements

 * Experience building data governance frameworks from scratch
 * Strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK (or an equivalent framework)
 * Strong understanding of UK GDPR
 * Experience turning concepts such as data quality, metadata, lineage and stewardship into operational processes
 * Experience working with data governance technologies such as Microsoft Purview, data catalogues, lineage, data quality and MDM platforms
 * Confidence operating across Microsoft, SAP and cloud environments
 * Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
