## About the Role

* Knowledge of development processes and transport management on ABAP systems
 * Familiarity with ABAP Test Cockpit and code consistency checks (TEAP)
 * Familiarity with the ABAP Transport Management System (transaction SE03)
 * Experience with Solution Manager is an advantage
 * ABAP development knowledge is an advantage
 * Manage automated deployments and transports using SAP Cloud Transport Management (cTMS).
 * Establish GitHub branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, and version control.
 * Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, SAP CI/CD, or Jenkins.
 * Manage end-to-end SAP BTP release planning, coordination, and execution across environments.

Functional Skills

 * Experience with IT project management
 * Strong technical writing skills for maintaining process documentation
 * Ability to organize and prioritize critical tasks during deployments
 * Experience managing emergency situations such as hotfix deployments

Soft Skills

 * Supportive attitude - committed to helping team members deliver their work effectively
 * Reliable - the team depends on you to keep processes running smoothly
 * Ability to communicate concisely and clearly

## Description

* Create and maintain process documentation
 * Initiate and manage process improvements
 * Serve as the point of contact for development teams and the central change management function

Planned Operational Activities

 * Communicate planned releases to stakeholders
 * Register releases in the SAP-internal Release Management application
 * Create test plans in Solution Manager
 * Check release health and run consistency checks (TEAP); follow up on any findings
 * Review test status and coordinate with development teams on findings prior to deployment
 * Initiate deployments
 * Organize and conduct post-deployment spot checks in production
 * Release monitoring, traceability, rollback, and recovery procedures.
 * Manage release dependencies, environment configurations, and access controls.
 * Ensure automated testing, security scanning, and deployment validation.

Unplanned Operational Activities

 * Troubleshoot release and change management-related issues
 * Support development teams in shipping bugfix releases
