## About the Role

* Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
 * 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure operations
 * CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or comparable certifications preferred
 * Experience supporting multi-site or geographically distributed environments
 * Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory
 * Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless technologies
 * Experience with endpoint management, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes
 * Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, systems, and network-related issues
 * Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
 * Experience supporting organizations in regulated industries preferred
 * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

## Description

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify an IT Support Specialist (contract). In this role, you are responsible for providing advanced technical support, systems administration, infrastructure maintenance, and project coordination for a multi-site organization. This role serves as an escalation point for complex technology issues while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems that support both clinical and business operations. This role is onsite in Austin, Tx., * Provide Tier 2 support for escalated hardware, software, network, and system issues

 * Troubleshoot and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, VoIP systems, and other peripherals
 * Administer user accounts, permissions, group policies, and multi-factor authentication solutions
 * Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, server environments, and endpoint management platforms
 * Assist with network administration, connectivity issues, wireless infrastructure, and firewall troubleshooting
 * Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure reliable operations
 * Support business-critical applications and coordinate issue resolution with vendors and internal stakeholders
 * Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures
 * Participate in technology deployments, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure projects
 * Identify and recommend process and technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency
 * Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and end users
 * Ensure adherence to organizational security standards, compliance requirements, and IT best practices
