## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree required, with at least fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
 * Linux administration experience sufficient to meet the years required for the labor category.
 * Solid experience with STE/STN and DISA STIG compliance work on Linux systems.
 * Storage management experience (e.g., CFS/DFS, NetApp).
 * Virtualization experience (e.g., Proxmox, Red Hat KVM, VMware).
 * IP networking and firewall experience.
 * Some experience with container and cloud environments.
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across large, multi-contract teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt).
 * Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl).
 * Experience with backup tools (e.g., Rubrik, NetBackup).
 * Hyper-converged infrastructure experience (e.g., Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex).

Security Clearance:

 * Active Top Secret clearance with a Polygraph

## Description

* Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows physical servers and virtual machines supporting DevOps and live operational systems
 * Monitor system health and respond to mission-critical updates and hot issues communicated through team channels and email
 * Work and resolve tickets in Jira according to team priorities
 * Support three backend environments at different classification levels, including authentication, DNS, share drives, home directories, and communications between systems
 * Support Mission and Operations users and their desktops
 * Perform STE/STN and DISA STIG compliance work on Linux systems
 * Manage storage, virtualization, IP networking, and firewall components supporting the environment
 * Support DevOps initiatives and sustainment of live systems, including container and cloud environments
 * Communicate and coordinate effectively with System Administrators, Systems Engineers, and Network Engineers across multiple contracts, as well as with direct civilian tasking and leadership
