## Description

The Systems Engineer Journeyman will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:

 * Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Army Aviation including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis, system architecture, system analysis and design, interface and data architecture, validation and verification utilizing a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).
 * Ensures the logical and systematic conversion/decomposition of government customer requirements into actionable solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
 * Ability to produce Engineering artifacts such as Architecture Description Document (ADD), System/Subsystem Specification (SSS), Software/Hardware Requirements Specifications (SRS/HRS), Concept of Operations, (CONOPS) and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
 * Experience with MBSE and modeling processes (Camero Enterprise Architect), Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, State Machines...etc.
 * Ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve product deliveries according to schedules while mentoring and advising junior engineers. Ability to lead customer interactions, briefings, and demonstrations.
 * Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Department's Systems Engineering Lifecyle process.
 * Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics and program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
