## About the Role

* Minimum of 7 years of experience in network support, troubleshooting, administration, etc.

 * We strongly prefer a candidate certified in CCNA or CCNP

 * Practical knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, including FortiGate administration and support.

 * Hands-on experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and Meraki access points.

 * Strong understanding of network administration principles, including routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting.

 * Ability to diagnose technical issues methodically and resolve network problems in a timely manner.

 * Experience supporting secure network environments with attention to system reliability and performance.

 * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

## Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer in Greenville, South Carolina on a contract-to-permanent basis. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can support and improve core network operations while helping maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure. The role will work closely with technical teams to strengthen connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and support day-to-day network performance in an onsite environment with potential hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities:

 * Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and firewall environments, to support stable business operations.

 * Configure, monitor, and optimize Cisco networking equipment to ensure dependable connectivity across the organization.

 * Administer Fortinet and FortiGate firewall solutions, including policy updates, security rule management, and performance tuning.

 * Investigate network incidents, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions to minimize operational disruption.

 * Support network security efforts by applying best practices, reviewing configurations, and addressing vulnerabilities as needed.

 * Collaborate with internal technology teams on infrastructure improvements, deployments, and environment changes related to network operations.

 * Document network configurations, procedures, and support activities to maintain clear operational records and knowledge sharing.
