* Senior / Lead: 10+ years of experience, including 7+ years in data architecture or engineering.
 * Mid-level / Level II / "Journeyman": 5+ years in database administration or data engineering.
 * Hands-on Databricks/Spark and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres).

Desired Skills:

 * Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and lakehouse design.
 * IBM Maximo data and deployments.
 * VA data governance and federal health data.

Education:

 * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
 * Certified (Maximo) Deployment Professional; Certified SAFe Architect.
 * Databricks Certified Data Engineer; Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer.

Clearance:

## Description

* Design logical and physical data models for supply chain products and the VALIP lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
 * Design databases for migrations to VA sites and the cloud.
 * Set data governance, quality, lineage and access standards in line with VA data policy.
 * Tune performance across SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres and Databricks.
 * Senior: database administration, backups, patching and environment refreshes.
