Even though we have many different colleagues, we look for a few typical Odido traits in every new team member. You need to be able to handle a changing organisation. The world of communications changes every day, and we need to grow along with it. Being naturally curious and interested in the technology we work with and the industry we're in helps enormously. ## Description Shape IT at Odido alongside our CIO & MT. Connect strategy, technology and people as an IT Strategic Advisor., Shape IT at Odido alongside our CIO & MT. Connect strategy, technology and people as an IT Strategic Advisor. IT at Odido touches almost everything we do. From technology and customer experience to commercial priorities, transformation and the way we operate as an organisation. That means our CIO is constantly balancing complex decisions, competing priorities and topics that cut across teams and business units. That is where you come in. As IT Strategic Advisor, you work closely with our CIO and IT Leadership Team to turn complexity into clear choices, aligned priorities and action. You connect dots others may not immediately see, bring structure to ambiguous topics and make sure important decisions do not stop at the meeting room door. You are not here to manage the CIO's agenda. You help shape it. This is a role for someone who understands technology and business, reads an organisation quickly and knows how to influence without needing formal authority. Someone who can move from a strategic discussion with senior leaders to preparing a sharp decision paper, and from there straight into a cross-functional initiative that needs momentum. What you'll do You act as a trusted strategic partner to the CIO and help make the IT organisation more effective. A large part of your role is decision support. You structure complex topics, bring together input from across IT and turn it into concise analyses, recommendations and briefings that enable strong and timely decision-making. You will also represent the CIO in selected steering committees and cross-functional governance forums. You understand the context, challenge where needed, ensure decisions are translated into action and return with a clear view of what matters next. Communication is another important part of the role. You help build a consistent narrative for IT by shaping Town Hall content, CIO keynotes, internal announcements and leadership communications. You understand that good communication is not about making things sound better. It is about making strategy understandable. And you connect. You act as a bridge between IT and teams such as Commercial, Finance, Networks, Customer Operations and Strategy. You translate technology into business language, and business needs back into something IT can act on. You help unblock topics, align priorities and bring people together when ownership crosses organizational boundaries. When an important initiative does not naturally belong to one team, you may take the lead yourself. That can mean coordinating a strategy refresh, an organisational review, a transformation milestone or another cross-cutting priority on behalf of the CIO. You also help create rhythm in the IT Leadership Team: shaping agendas, tracking commitments and making sure decisions and actions keep moving. And finally, there is a part of this role that is less visible but just as important. You are a trusted sounding board to the CIO on sensitive strategic, organisational and people-related topics. That requires judgement, independence and absolute discretion. Influence without hierarchy This is not a traditional management role. You will work with people at every level of the organisation, often bringing together colleagues who do not report to you. Your job is to create alignment, momentum and clarity, not to become the owner of everything yourself. Your success is visible when leaders can make better decisions, teams understand the direction and important topics move forward. At Odido, we believe in people. We personally review every application. No keyword filters, no automated AI decisions. That's why we ask you to briefly share why this specific role at Odido fits your experience and ambition., What you definitely bring, Your growth path at Odido isn't fixed in advance, you can go in any direction, horizontally too. I get the chance to gain new knowledge across different finance domains and keep collecting new experiences. Here you truly chart your own route., That's possible temporarily under certain conditions: a maximum of 30 working days per 12 months, only within the EU (and a few designated countries), and with prior approval from your manager. Working from abroad on a long-term basis is not permitted. Yes, Odido offers learning opportunities and a personal development budget of up to €1,000 per year (pro-rated for part-time), to spend on relevant training in consultation with your manager. At Odido we work with a modern tech stack in which programming languages such as Java and Python and cloud solutions play an important role. The exact technologies vary by team and role, but the focus is on scalable, data-driven and future-proof solutions. At Odido we work hybrid. This means that as an IT specialist you work partly from home and partly in the office, depending on your role and activities. The guideline is that you are present in the office part of the week to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing, and you can work flexibly from a distance the rest of the time. Working fully remote is not the standard. For roles within Network Operations, an on-call or standby arrangement may be part of the position. This means you are available outside regular working hours on a rota basis to resolve incidents.
