## About the Role

* Strong Python development experience, including use of boto3 and AWS SDKs to build and maintain production services.

 * Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDB and CloudWatch.

 * Experience developing and supporting event-driven and serverless architectures.

 * Ability to investigate and resolve production issues spanning multiple services, integrations and workflow stages.

 * Experience with AWS Batch and API Gateway to deliver secure, scalable data sharing capabilities

 * Experience analysing existing code and delivering maintainable, low-risk changes.

 * Experience creating and maintaining automated tests using pytest, moto or related tooling.

 * Ability to produce clear technical documentation and operational support procedures.

Desirable criteria

 * Experience with large scale ETL pipeline platforms, including its infrastructure, integrations, data flows and operational processes.

 * Familiarity with the application, infrastructure and operational aspects of a live service.

 * Experience contributing to technical design and agreeing pragmatic implementation approaches.

 * Experience improving platform performance, maintainability and operational stability.

 * Experience with Github CoPilot and agentic workflows

## Description

* Deliver new CICO features and enhancements from analysis through implementation and support.

 * Investigate, diagnose and resolve production issues across the platform and its integrations.

 * Analyse existing code and implement maintainable, proportionate and low-risk changes.

 * Contribute to technical designs and implementation approaches that align with platform needs.

 * Expand and maintain automated test coverage using appropriate testing and mocking tools.

 * Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and support guidance.

 * Support platform maintenance, performance improvement and operational stability.
