## About the Role

* Strong experience working as an IT Solution Architect on complex technology programmes.
 * Experience producing High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
 * Strong solution integration and technical solution design experience.
 * Experience with application and data architecture, including data integration.
 * Good understanding of API integration and protocols, including REST and SOAP.
 * Experience conducting solution evaluations, options analysis and solution costing.
 * Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills, including functional and non-functional requirements.
 * Understanding of data privacy, security and architectural governance.
 * Experience supporting Legacy application modernisation or transformation programmes.
 * Ability to communicate technical designs and recommendations to business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams.
 * Experience providing technical leadership and reviewing designs throughout delivery.
 * Active SC/L2 security clearance.

## Description

Synergetic is recruiting an experienced Solution Architect for a 3-month contract supporting a major technology modernisation programme.

The role will focus on solution design, integration and the transition from Legacy applications to modernised platforms. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and engineering teams to define requirements, assess solution options and develop technical designs that align with business objectives and architectural standards.

You'll also provide technical leadership throughout delivery, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and meet functional and non-functional requirements.

What you'll do

 * Lead discovery, requirements analysis and solution design activities.
 * Develop high-level and detailed solution designs, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications and integration patterns.
 * Assess solution options, including technical feasibility, costs, risks and benefits, and recommend appropriate approaches.
 * Support the transition from Legacy applications to modernised solutions.
 * Define application and data integration approaches, including APIs and associated protocols.
 * Work with business and technical stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements.
 * Present solution designs and recommendations to architecture governance forums for review and approval.
 * Provide technical guidance to development teams and suppliers, ensuring solutions align with agreed architecture standards.
 * Identify technical risks, dependencies and implementation challenges, recommending appropriate mitigations.
 * Review solution designs and delivery outputs to ensure they meet business, security and technical requirements.
