## About the Role

Software Engineering, Legal, Mentoring, Automation, On Call, Technical/Engineering Design, Documentation, Best Practices, Incident Management, Threat Modeling, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

 * Software development using GoLang, Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala programming languages
 * Microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
 * SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands on experience with public or private cloud offerings e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure
 * Database technology such as RDBMS (Oracle or Postgres), or NoSQL (DynamoDB or Cassandra)
 * Algorithms, data structures, systems design, and distributed systems concepts (e.g., consistency, partitioning, caching)
 * Delivering software in Agile environments

## Description

"Drive creative improvements across Atlassian's engineering organization. Design, build, and operate core identity services while delivering features end-to-end - from authoring technical designs and implementing services to creating robust tests, deploying via CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring SLOs. Help maintain operational excellence through on-call participation, incident response, and post-incident reviews. Develop automation to minimize manual toil. Mentor peers, conduct design and code reviews, enhance documentation, and improve the overall developer experience. Champion security best practices, perform threat modeling, and embed privacy-by-design principles into our authorization workflows.
