## About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Back End engineering expertise and an AI-first approach to software development., * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on Back End development.

 * Daily, meaningful use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools to build and deliver software.
 * Experience using AI for planning, implementation, debugging, testing, and code review-not just generating snippets.
 * Strong understanding of AI-generated code validation, security, and engineering best practices.
 * Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or comparable Back End technologies.
 * Experience building REST APIs, integrations, and database-driven applications.
 * Hands-on React experience and an understanding of modern Front End development.
 * Production experience with AWS.
 * Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
 * Familiarity with Linux, containers, Git, CI/CD, and software deployment.
 * Strong architectural judgment, problem-solving ability, and independent execution.
 * Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Chicago.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Advanced experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, custom agents, or MCP servers.
 * Experience with multi-agent orchestration or automated AI development workflows.
 * AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Redshift, or Kinesis.
 * Python-based ETL, data ingestion, and processing pipelines.
 * Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, or other infrastructure automation technologies.
 * Experience with IAM, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure application design.
 * Experience with platform integration, Legacy modernization, or cloud migration initiatives.

## Description

* Use AI coding agents extensively for solution design, implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and code review.
 * Build effective agentic development workflows that accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering quality.
 * Explore multi-agent workflows, MCP integrations, and emerging AI development tools.
 * Independently validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
 * Apply appropriate security controls when AI agents interact with repositories, credentials, infrastructure, and sensitive data.

Backend & Full Stack Engineering

 * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Back End services, APIs, and integrations using Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
 * Build and enhance customer-facing applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
 * Develop and optimize PostgreSQL databases, data models, and data-intensive application workflows.
 * Integrate existing applications, external services, and newly acquired technology platforms.
 * Modernize Legacy applications while maintaining performance, reliability, and business continuity.
 * Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and production support.

AWS & Production Engineering

 * Build, deploy, and support applications and services running in AWS.
 * Contribute to cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and legacy-system retirement.
 * Work with Linux environments, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
 * Troubleshoot production issues involving APIs, databases, networking, authentication, and application performance.
 * Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on security, monitoring, reliability, and deployment practices.
