## About the Role

* Master's degree in quantitative or social science disciplines.
 * Three or more years of relevant research experience.
 * Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical software (SPSS, SAS, Python, R Shiny).

## Description

The DATA SCIENTIST II role contributes to the program by performing advanced data analysis and research to enhance short- and long-term outcomes for service members and families. This position is responsible for applying data science techniques to extract insights, support decision-making, and improve program effectiveness within the SOF enterprise., * Perform data analysis and modeling on large datasets.

 * Apply data mining, natural language processing, and machine learning techniques.
 * Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to develop experiments and products.
 * Identify, access, clean, and prepare data for modeling.
 * Create and refine data features.
 * Conduct A/B testing, statistical analysis, and communicate findings.
 * Explore new designs or technologies that align with mission goals.
 * Conduct advanced analytics, predictive and statistical analysis.
 * Translate data into narratives supporting decision-making.
 * Manage data within government systems.
 * Develop dashboards to automate analysis and identify trends.
 * Assist with survey design and reporting.
 * Advise on data capture methods related to programs and initiatives.
 * Collaborate with program staff and biostatisticians.
 * Provide expertise in program evaluation and research methodologies.
 * Use statistical modeling and visualization to report mission-relevant findings.
