This contractor will work across hardware, firmware, mechanical, product, cloud/app, and reliability teams to take features from concept through production release. The role requires an experienced engineer who can contribute independently after an initial orientation to the product architecture, development environment, and team processes; diagnose complex cross-layer issues; and own assigned deliverables., Develop Embedded C+ firmware for wireless connectivity on 32-bit ARM Cortex microcontrollers using bare-metal designs. Implement, integrate, and debug Bluetooth Low Energy functionality using wireless modules or SoCs and their vendor SDKs. Diagnose complex BLE connectivity issues spanning application firmware, low-level drivers/BSP, the protocol stack, timing-sensitive behavior, and hardware interfaces. Translate product requirements into firmware specifications, design documents, test procedures, and implementation plans. Perform unit, functional, and integration testing, and contribute to test automation within CI/CD pipelines. Debug firmware and hardware interactions using JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum/protocol analyzers.
