This is an initial 3-month contract, with the intent to extend to 12 months. This role leads the implementation, operation, and support of enterprise technology services, from servers and networks to telephony and line-of-business applications. It is a strong opportunity for a hands-on IT leader who wants to own critical systems, guide a team, and serve as a trusted advisor to IT leadership. This position is remote but must be able to work 9am to 5pm EST. Systems Software Manager Responsibilities: * Lead the implementation, operation, and support of infrastructure services, including servers, networks, telephony devices, and related applications * Oversee second-tier support for technology systems across the organization * Recommend and drive improvements to systems support processes * Monitor and analyze system performance and take action to resolve deficiencies * Direct staff during testing, monitoring, and installation of new systems and major releases * Supervise direct reports, including planning, work assignments, coaching, and performance evaluations * Make recommendations on staffing, hiring, promotions, and compensation adjustments * Manage designated IT vendor relationships and build strong partnerships with internal departments * Provide consultative support to the Director of IT Services and deliver weekly project status updates
