## About the Role

* 10+ years of Project Management experience, with multiple ERP implementation projects.
 * Proven track record managing complex, multi-vendor enterprise initiatives.
 * Understanding of ERP delivery lifecycles, including data migration, integrations, testing, and deployment.
 * Ability to operate independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
 * Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders., * Experience with large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.
 * Experience leading a Dynamics 365 ERP project (Finance & Operations).
 * Familiarity with data migration and Legacy system modernization.
 * PMP or equivalent project management certification.
 * Experience working alongside systems integrators and third-party data vendors.

## Description

Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Project Manager with ERP implementation experience to lead a critical phase of a large-scale enterprise transformation. This is a long-term contract with our client based in downtown Chicago. Individual must be local to Illinois to be able to attend an onsite interview and work onsite 2 days per week (Tues/Wed or Tues/Thurs) in downtown Chicago.

Our client is undergoing a multi-year (estimated 3-5) financial transformation initiative, which includes the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics to replace over 200 on-prem Legacy applications. This role will be responsible for driving execution across multiple workstreams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring delivery against aggressive timelines while maintaining strong governance and accountability. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role requiring an experienced ERP project leader who can operate with minimal direction, proactively manage risk, and maintain momentum in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

 * Lead delivery of an ERP implementation, coordinating internal teams and system integrators
 * Own project planning, scheduling, milestones, dependencies, and critical path management.
 * Establish and maintain project governance, reporting cadence, and executive-level communication.
 * Drive cross-functional alignment across business, IT, data, and integration teams.
 * Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation and escalation strategies.
 * Manage vendor performance, deliverables, and contract alignment.
 * Facilitate project ceremonies including status, steering committees, and executive updates.
 * Ensure disciplined change control, scope management, and decision tracking.
 * Support readiness activities across data, testing, cutover, and go-live planning.
