## Description

Akkodis is seeking an Exterior Systems Design & Release Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate drives the design, development, validation, and release of exterior vehicle systems while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions., Exterior Systems Design & Release Engineer Responsibilities include:

 * Lead the design, development, validation, and release of exterior vehicle components, including bumpers, grilles, battery trays, and underbody systems.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to ensure successful product development and launch execution.
 * Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and vehicle performance targets.
 * Manage BOM releases, engineering changes, and product documentation throughout the component lifecycle.
 * Coordinate validation, durability, and functional testing activities while resolving engineering issues through root cause analysis.
 * Drive continuous improvements focused on quality, cost reduction, weight optimization, and design efficiency.
