Applicants must be eligible to work in the specified location

 * Inside IR35
 * Must be SC eligible, * Strong hands-on experience with Talend and ETL development.
 * Experience with Denodo and data virtualisation.
 * Practical experience with Oracle databases, SQL and DDL.
 * Experience working with AWS.
 * Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, testing and production support.
 * Experience with Pentaho or Informatica would also be considered.
 * Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile development environment.
 * Must be able to attend the office 2 days per week within the West Midlands.

## Description

Data Engineer with strong ETL development experience required to join a large-scale data engineering project on a long-term contract. The role is based in the West Midlands, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 2 days per week in the office, offering competitive contract rate., * Develop and maintain Talend ETL jobs, data virtualisation views and Oracle database artefacts.

 * Support data extraction, integration and transformation activities using established development frameworks.
 * Enhance CI/CD pipelines and support automated testing and deployment processes.
 * Investigate and resolve defects identified during development and testing.
 * Conduct component testing, support QA and performance testing, and assist with production releases and post-release support.
 * Review technical deliverables and provide guidance and support to junior engineers.
 * Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.
