## About the Role

* Hold a relevant professional qualification, engineering/numerate degree, or equivalent experience.
 * Hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in the software industry, ideally delivering infrastructure.
 * Experience with process-driven approaches (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
 * Cloud / Kubernetes certifications a plus

Skills and Abilities:
It is essential that applicants have:

 * The ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
 * Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise, manage personal time and productivity.
 * The ability to work with others as well as work independently to achieve effective outcomes.
 * Follow established infrastructure standards.

Essential Experience:

 * 4+ years hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role
 * Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins ( Groovy scripting) with Git workflows via Bitbucket or GitHub
 * Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform or similar tooling.
 * Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability workloads in Kubernetes and Docker
 * Experience automating and orchestrating workloads for large-scale enterprise organizations
 * Experience managing and maintaining cloud solutions Azure, AWS -as well as private cloud environments.
 * Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash or groovy to automate repetitive operational tasks.
 * Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog

Desirable Experience:

 * Experience of data platforms within Kubernetes and Cloud Offerings (Postgres and MongoDB)
 * Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including information, data, and cyber security principles (e.g., secret management, vulnerability scanning)
 * Experience coaching and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers
 * Cloud or DevOps Certification
