## About the Role

You'll be a highly capable full-stack engineer who enjoys working in fast-moving environments where experimentation and innovation are encouraged.
You'll ideally have:

 * 7+ years' commercial software engineering experience.
 * Strong commercial experience with React.
 * Backend development experience using Node.js, Express.js and Python.
 * Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to build intuitive digital products.
 * Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices.
 * Experience reviewing and mentoring developers across frontend and backend technologies.
 * Experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
 * Commercial experience building Proof of Concepts, MVPs and greenfield applications.
 * Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
 * Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
 * Strong understanding of OAuth, authentication and secure API design.
 * Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
 * A proactive, product-focused mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.

## Description

We're working with an innovative technology company that's building a suite of next-generation AI products from the ground up.
This isn't a role focused on maintaining legacy systems. You'll be part of a small, highly experienced engineering team responsible for transforming ambitious ideas into production-ready software. Working closely with Product, Design and AI specialists, you'll take concepts from whiteboard sketches through to prototypes, proof of concepts, MVPs and ultimately scalable products.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, building products from scratch and leveraging AI throughout the software development lifecycle, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact., As a Senior Product Engineer, you'll work across the full stack, combining modern frontend development, backend engineering and cloud technologies to rapidly build and validate new AI-powered products.
You'll be heavily involved in architecture, technical design and proof-of-concept development, collaborating directly with stakeholders to transform ideas into working software.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll also use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, review code and accelerate software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

 * Design and build full-stack applications from concept through to production.
 * Develop proof of concepts, prototypes and MVPs for new AI-driven products.
 * Architect scalable, maintainable software solutions.
 * Build modern user interfaces using React and collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
 * Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js and Python.
 * Design and implement secure authentication and authorisation using OAuth.
 * Build and integrate cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
 * Containerise applications using Docker.
 * Conduct code reviews across React, Node.js, Express.js and Python applications.
 * Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering quality, productivity and code generation.
 * Collaborate with Product, Design and AI teams to shape technical direction.
 * Produce technical plans, solution designs and architectural documentation.
