## About the Role

We are seeking an Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation frameworks, API and web services testing, and CI/CD integration and a proven ability to design, implement, and scale automated testing for data platforms and applications., * Proficiency in building automation frameworks for APIs, web services, and data pipelines.

 * Hands-on experience with XML, SOAP UI, and web services testing.
 * Strong skills in Selenium WebDriver/GRID, JUnit or TestNG, Maven, and Jenkins.
 * Programming proficiency in Java and Python, with knowledge of C++.
 * Experience with JavaScript technologies such as Node.js and AngularJS.
 * Experience testing data movement using Kafka and working with big data tools.
 * Demonstrated BDD test development using Cucumber with Gherkin.
 * Comprehensive knowledge of Agile Scrum or Kanban practices and ceremonies.
 * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to provide technical direction across design, development, and testing.

Preferred Skills:

 * Experience implementing CI/CD best practices for automated regression at scale.
 * Familiarity with performance benchmarking using JUnit or similar tooling.

## Description

* Provide leadership and hands-on expertise in automated testing using modern open-source tools and best practices.
 * Build and maintain automated test frameworks for Java and Python data APIs, Kafka-based data movement, and big data solutions.
 * Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases across functional, regression, and integration scopes.
 * Lead data testing efforts for cross-functional Agile data delivery teams.
 * Implement BDD practices by creating Features, Scenarios, and Step Definitions using Cucumber with Gherkin syntax.
 * Design Selenium-based automation with JUnit or TestNG and manage execution via Maven targets.
 * Configure and run automated regression suites through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
 * Collaborate within Scrum or Kanban teams and contribute to ceremonies including standups, planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
