## About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Data Engineer (Analytics) to support a federal law enforcement mission by delivering reports, dashboards, queries, and analytics that respond to emerging stakeholder needs. This position requires strong technical expertise in data analytics and relational databases, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment., * 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, reporting, or a related field.

 * Experience developing reports and dashboards.
 * Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data concepts.
 * Experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
 * Experience developing queries using ElasticSearch and/or OpenSearch.
 * Experience researching, understanding, and integrating disparate data sources.
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 * Bachelor's degree or higher; Computer Science or a related technical discipline preferred. A degree is not required with suitable relevant experience.
 * Experience with AWS services, including S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and OpenSearch/ElasticSearch.
 * Experience with JSON and JSON format mediation techniques.
 * Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.
 * Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins and Git.
 * Knowledge of modern data management patterns, including:
 + Data warehouses
 + Data marts
 + Data lakes
 + Delta lakes
 + Lakehouses
 + Data mesh architectures

 * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DHS 6C Public Trust (Full BI).
