## About the Role

Education and years of related/relevant professional work experience required: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics and 4+ years of professional work experience or equivalent professional experience.

Additional skills/experience required:

 * Experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or related disciplines.
 * Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools.
 * Working knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing and validating datasets.
 * Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reports.
 * Understanding of metadata management, data stewardship, and data governance principles.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
 * Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and analytical solutions.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

 * Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and Master Data Management (MDM) principles
 * Professional certification in Microsoft Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate) or Tableau (e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst)
 * Advanced Power BI capabilities, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
 * Experience with data cataloging and governance platforms such as Collibra or Microsoft Purview
 * Experience supporting Navy SSP, Department of Defense (DoD), or government contracting environments
 * Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), configuration management, or engineering tools such as PTC Windchill and IBM DOORS
 * Experience with Python, reporting automation, or advanced SQL techniques

## Description

* Data Governance & Compliance: Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
 * Data Quality Management: Conduct data profiling, validation, and analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
 * Data Analytics & Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
 * KPI & Performance Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess data quality, governance effectiveness, and operational performance.
 * Metadata Management: Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data catalogs to support data consistency, traceability, and authoritative data sources.
 * Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize SQL, Excel, and analytical tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data and provide actionable insights.
 * Requirements & Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop technical documentation, and support governance workflows and process improvements.
 * Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings, prepare reports, and present recommendations to technical teams and leadership.
