## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience with DB2 for z/OS Database Administration
 * DB2 subsystems, Data Sharing, Parallel Sysplex, buffer pools, tablespaces, indexes, and DB2 Catalog
 * SQL performance tuning, access path analysis, and capacity planning
 * DB2 utilities: REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, LOAD, UNLOAD, RECOVER, and REBUILD INDEX
 * Backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and RTO/RPO planning
 * DB2 upgrades, migrations, SMP/E, and PTF implementation
 * Mainframe tools: z/OS, JCL, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, and JES2
 * Database security, RACF, encryption, and audit/compliance controls
 * L3/L4 production support, root cause analysis, and major incident resolution
 * Technical leadership, team mentoring, and change governance (CAB)

Preferred Skills: BMC DB2 tools, REXX scripting, DB2 automation, and experience with IMS, CICS, and MQ.

## Description

Seeking an experienced Mainframe DBA Lead to provide technical leadership for enterprise DB2 for z/OS environments. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, architecture, upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, security, and production incident management.
