## Description

We are seeking a GIS Technician to support a large, long-term water and utility infrastructure program in the Indianapolis area. This position will focus on GIS mapping, spatial data management, data development, and project support.

The GIS Technician will work closely with engineers and project managers to maintain accurate GIS information and produce mapping and data deliverables used throughout the project., * Create, edit, and maintain GIS maps and spatial datasets

 * Develop and maintain utility and infrastructure GIS data
 * Perform georeferencing, geoprocessing, data conversion, and data validation
 * Create project maps, exhibits, and other GIS-based deliverables
 * Maintain spatial databases and ensure data accuracy and consistency
 * Integrate field, engineering, and utility information into GIS systems
 * Perform quality control of GIS data and mapping
 * Support engineers and project managers with mapping, spatial analysis, and project information
 * Troubleshoot GIS data and workflow issues
 * Help ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
