## Description

The Senior Application Developer is responsible for designing, building, securing, testing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical applications and data services. This role supports the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for public economic-data capabilities, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with accessibility and security standards. The developer will modernize frontend and backend components, support data integration, and maintain technical documentation to facilitate controlled onboarding and maintenance of datasets., * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain BEA-EITS applications and data services.

 * Provide full SDLC support including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and operations.
 * Sustain and enhance applications such as iTable, BEA API, RIMS Ordering, and HistData.
 * Triage and resolve production defects, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve system performance and accessibility.
 * Implement incremental modernization using assess, encapsulate, improve, migrate, and retire patterns.
 * Modernize frontend and backend components and support migration to APPS.BEA.GOV web servers.
 * Develop application administration capabilities using approved technologies and standards.
 * Use Azure DevOps tools and Git to maintain traceability from requirements through production verification.
 * Apply peer review, automated/manual testing, security scanning, and accessibility checks for all changes.
 * Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, user guides, release notes, and implementation materials.
