This position is ideal for a Principal Developer, Lead Developer or Technical Lead who enjoys mentoring and guiding teams but still wants to be involved in technical decision-making, architecture, code quality and engineering best practice. You'll act as the bridge between development teams and leadership, providing technical direction while helping create a high-performing engineering culture. The organisation has a strong heritage in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem and is currently investing heavily in cloud technologies and modern engineering practices, with increasing adoption of Java-based solutions. As a result, this role offers the opportunity to help shape the future technology direction while remaining hands-on enough to influence how solutions are designed and delivered. The Role Working closely with both developers and senior stakeholders, you'll help drive technical excellence across the software function. You'll mentor engineers, support their professional development and ensure the team adheres to modern engineering standards and best practices. You'll play a key role in improving development processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and helping establish a consistent approach to software delivery.
