## About the Role

* Active DV Clearance, which must already be held
 * Strong background in Data Architecture or Data Engineering, with hands-on experience on at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
 * Solid understanding of modern data patterns, including lakehouse, medallion, and streaming architectures
 * Experience designing full cloud data platforms, not just individual components
 * Comfortable working with clients and stakeholders
 * Practical mindset and ability to make sensible trade-offs without over-engineering
 * Familiarity with cloud-native data services, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, distributed processing frameworks, and streaming technologies such as Kafka or cloud-native equivalents

## Description

* Design end-to-end data platforms, covering the full lifecycle from ingestion through to consumption
 * Work with lakehouse and medallion architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
 * Define batch and streaming pipelines to suit different use cases
 * Make decisions about storage, orchestration, governance, and security
 * Work with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into practical technical solutions
 * Deliver work in secure, regulated environments, using sound judgement and attention to detail
 * Select appropriate tools for the problem and cloud platform in use
