## About the Role

* Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. In lieu of a master's degree, a bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience

 * Software Design and Development Life-cycle knowledge

 * Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks

 * Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL

 * Experience with training, deploying, and/or evaluating AI / ML or data science models
 * Experience with data engineering, defining ETL / ELT processes, and using workflow orchestrators

 * Experience using version control software, such as git, in a team setting

 * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 * Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team

 * Experience working with building and maintaining applications in security-sensitive, regulated enterprise settings

Desired Requirements

 * Experience with Big Data cloud platforms like Databricks a plus

 * Experience with biological and medical data a plus

 * Experience with data harmonization and medical data standards like OMOP, FHIR, and HL7 a plus
 * Experience with using AWS cloud services for AI and Data Engineering a plus

 * Experience building software integrations with AI / ML / LLM models and libraries a plus

 * Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) using various source document formats a plus

## Description

The Bioanalytics Systems and Technologies Group is in search of an innovative and highly motivated software engineer to support several projects within our group. Project tasks include development of software to support harmonization of medical and health data, web-based app development, modeling and simulation, and data streaming applications.
