## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience developing applications using Scala.
 * Strong understanding of functional programming principles and modern software engineering practices.
 * Proven experience building high-quality, scalable backend services and distributed systems.
 * Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or similar Scala ecosystems.
 * Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
 * Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
 * Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, and modern engineering methodologies.
 * Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, with exposure to Azure or Google Cloud also beneficial.
 * Ability to develop robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions in a commercial environment.
 * Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.

## Description

This temporary contract is outside IR35 and will be delivered on a statement-of-work basis. The supplier will determine the method, resources, and approach to deliver the agreed outcomes.
