## About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing experience, hands-on automation testing skills and a proven ability to work within Agile development environments.

Candidates must currently hold active UK SC Security Clearance and be available to work on-site as required under a hybrid working arrangement., * 3-5+ years of commercial software testing experience, with strong manual testing expertise.

 * Hands-on automation experience using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
 * Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript or C# for automation scripting.
 * Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC.
 * Experience in functional, regression, integration and system testing.
 * Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or TestRail.
 * REST API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
 * Good SQL knowledge and database testing experience.
 * Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools.
 * Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
 * Strong analytical and communication skills.
 * Active UK SC Security Clearance is mandatory.

Desirable Skills:

 * BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
 * Performance testing using JMeter.
 * Mobile application testing experience.
 * Exposure to Azure or AWS.
 * Experience working in government, defence or secure environments.
 * ISTQB certification.
 * Understanding of accessibility and security testing.

Candidate Requirements:

 * Must have the right to work in the UK.
 * Must hold active UK SC Clearance.
 * Willing to commute to Milton Keynes or Bristol as part of a hybrid arrangement.
 * Available for a 6-month rolling contract.
 * Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester with Automation Testing skills for a rolling 6-month contract opportunity based in Milton Keynes or Bristol., * Design, develop and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical requirements.

 * Perform functional, regression, integration, system and end-to-end testing.
 * Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar tools.
 * Identify, document, track and retest software defects.
 * Collaborate with developers, business analysts and product owners to ensure software quality.
 * Participate in test planning, requirement reviews and test estimation.
 * Perform API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
 * Support test automation integration within CI/CD pipelines.
 * Maintain test documentation, execution reports and defect logs.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
 * Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
