You'll define what needs to be built and why, write it up clearly enough to be built from, and verify it works before it goes live. * Compliance and filings. You think about bad data, edge cases, and what happens when something fails halfway through * You've owned deadlines that mattered and have a system for tracking them * You're comfortable saying "I don't know yet, let me find out" - a good part of this job is figuring things out * You'll push a vendor when a ticket is going nowhere, * Which business software systems have you administered or configured? Include POS, ERP, inventory, or ecommerce platforms, and briefly describe what you did with each. * Describe a time you had to learn a business software system without formal training. How did you go about it? * How do you make sure something works correctly before other people start using it?
