## About the Role

* Proven experience in Windows Server administration with a strong understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
 * Extensive knowledge of IIS configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
 * Familiarity with RAID controller setup and storage management techniques.
 * Hands-on experience with system backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
 * Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Shell Scripting, or Bash for automation tasks.
 * Strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RESTful APIs, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing solutions like Kubernetes or traditional appliances.
 * Knowledge of database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; experience with database tuning is advantageous.
 * Experience supporting enterprise applications like Pegasystems or similar BPM platforms.
 * Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
 * Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git workflows.
 * Knowledge of information security best practices to safeguard systems against threats.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications such as MCSA/MCSE are preferred.

## Description

* Manage and administer Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
 * Oversee IIS web server configurations, deployment, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.
 * Implement and maintain RAID controller configurations for data redundancy and performance optimization.
 * Develop and execute server backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
 * Automate routine tasks through scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash to improve operational efficiency.
 * Support solution architecture initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and resilient system architectures aligned with business needs.
 * Monitor system performance, conduct tuning activities, and perform capacity planning to optimize resource utilization.
 * Manage Active Directory services for user authentication, group policies, and access controls.
 * Configure network components including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and VPNs to ensure secure connectivity.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software implementation projects involving Pegasystems or other enterprise applications.
 * Support system troubleshooting efforts across hardware (including SAN storage), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network infrastructure.
 * Maintain configuration management documentation for systems and applications.
 * Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or ESXi for efficient resource utilization.
 * Participate in Agile development cycles (SDLC) ensuring seamless integration of new features into existing systems.
