This role requires a "solution-first" mindset, capable of diagnosing intricate issues and building high-performance, low-code solutions that support critical business operations., * Advanced Automation & Flow Development + Own the "Click-Not-Code" Strategy: Architect, build, and maintain complex flows (Screen, Record-Triggered, Schedule-Triggered, and Autolaunched) to automate intricate business logic. + Flow Optimization: Audit and refactor existing automations for performance and scalability; troubleshoot and debug complex Flow errors with precision. + Advanced Configuration: Utilize Custom Metadata Types, Custom Settings, and Custom Labels to build flexible and maintainable applications without hard-coding references. + Manage Salesforce integrations with other business systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. * Solution Architecture & Data Management + Solution Design: Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions. Determine the right tool for the job: knowing when to use standard features, Flows, or when to hand off to Developers for Apex/LWC. + Data Modeling: Design and manage the data model, including custom objects, schema builder, relationship types (Master-Detail vs. Lookup), and schema optimization to support reporting needs. + Security Architecture: Oversee the security model, including complex Sharing Rules, Role Hierarchies, Permission Sets, and Field Level Security to ensure strict data governance. * Release Management & Collaboration + DevOps & Deployment: Manage the release lifecycle using best practices for change management (e.g. DevOps Center, Gearset, or Change Sets), ensuring smooth deployments from Sandboxes to Production. + Developer Collaboration: Partner with Salesforce Developers on hybrid solutions (e.g. Flows invoking Apex actions) and coordinate on major projects to minimize technical debt. + System Integrity: Conduct regular health checks, monitor system limits, and manage Salesforce release updates (3x/year) to prevent regression issues. + Provide ongoing support and training to Salesforce users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the platform. + Serve as the primary liaison between our company and Salesforce support services. ## Related Videos - [From DevOps to Scaled DevOps: How We’re Rebuilding Continuous Delivery as a Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100018-from-devops-to-scaled-devops-how-we-re-rebuilding-continuous-delivery-as-a-platform) - [Delete the roles, deploy the skills](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2104-delete-the-roles-deploy-the-skills) - [Fast Flow, Not Fast Fluff: Embracing an Eclectic DevOps Coaching Approach](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/855-fast-flow-not-fast-fluff-embracing-an-eclectic-devops-coaching-approach) - [DevOps Maturity Check – a way to balance autonomy and alignment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/58-devops-maturity-check-a-way-to-balance-autonomy-and-alignment) - [#90DaysOfDevOps - The DevOps Learning Journey](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/548-90daysofdevops-the-devops-learning-journey) - [Beyond the 9–5: Designing Work Around Humans](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1321-beyond-the-9-5-designing-work-around-humans) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [7 Important Tips That Every Software Developer Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/101-7-important-tips-that-every-software-developer-should-know) - [Best Paying Jobs in Technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/256-best-paying-jobs-in-technology) - [Why Attend a Developer Event in 2026?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/688-why-attend-a-developer-event-in-2026) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer)
