## About the Role

* Proven experience managing IT infrastructure within cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or OpenStack.
 * Strong background in virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service).
 * Hands-on expertise with cloud management tools for automating deployment processes at scale using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
 * Extensive knowledge of cloud services including S3 storage solutions, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and enterprise data management systems like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
 * Familiarity with programming languages including Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, Ruby on Rails, PowerShell or Shell Scripting for developing automation scripts and integrating APIs.
 * Experience working within Agile development environments employing DevOps practices to enhance software development lifecycle (SDLC) efficiency.
 * Deep understanding of network security protocols including VPNs, system hardening techniques for Linux/Unix/Windows operating systems, and managing identity/access solutions for secure cloud operations.

## Description

* Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenStack, and Rackspace to support scalable web services and applications.
 * Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
 * Manage distributed systems and microservices architectures employing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for flexible deployment and scalability.
 * Integrate service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles with RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate interoperability across various applications and platforms.
 * Ensure system security through effective identity and access management (IAM), system hardening, VPN configurations, and compliance with security best practices.
 * Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize resources for cost-efficiency and high availability.
 * Collaborate with development teams on application deployment strategies using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Git, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and SDLC best practices.
