## About the Role

· Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or a similar 3D CAD package

· Ability to read and produce technical drawings

· Good Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

· Experience in a technical, engineering or design role, ideally in construction or building products

· Good communication skills and a strong focus on customer service

· Good organisation and attention to detail

· A logical approach to problem solving

· Willingness to learn and develop

Desirable:

· Experience in the aluminium rainwater or construction products industry

· Experience with Panel Builder CAD/CAM software

· Some experience using CRM systems, or willingness to learn

· Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes

· A qualification in Engineering, Construction or a related subject (e.g. HNC, HND or degree)

## Description

The Technical Services Engineer provides technical support and advice to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely technical advice, managing complex and bespoke project requirements, supporting product development activities, and leading technical investigations. You will work closely with customers, specifiers, contractors, merchants and the internal sales teams to make sure customer expectations are met.

What you will do

· Answer technical enquiries by phone, email, video call and face to face

· Complete rainwater drainage calculations to BS EN 12056-3:2000

· Produce product designs and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor

· Use Panel Builder CAD/CAM software to support fabrication and manufacturing work

· Support the department's bespoke fabrication design work

· Support product investigations and write clear technical reports

· Manage standard technical projects from enquiry to completion

· Support sales colleagues with technical questions about customers and projects

· Visit sites to give product support and installation guidance

· Keep up to date with our products, competitor products and industry changes
