## About the Role

 * A minimum of 3 years of experience with Java (Spring Boot).
 * Demonstrated experience developing scalable RESTful APIs and implementing event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
 * Strong experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices, utilising frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and similar testing technologies.

Desirable Skills:

 * Experience in Agentic AI application development, including the design and implementation of AI-driven autonomous workflows and intelligent agents.

 * Extensive experience in designing and developing REST APIs, including API documentation and specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI, API versioning, testing, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

 * Proficiency in Python software development, with experience building scalable and maintainable enterprise applications.
 * Good understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, analytics, and modern data platform capabilities.
 * Experience working in an Agile development environment, preferably following eXtreme Programming (XP) practices such as pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development (TDD), and collaborative engineering.

## Description

* Provides input into the architecture and design of the product; collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way
 * Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building product
 * Participates in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind
 * Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stack
 * Coaches more junior team members around different technologies and XP practices
 * Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices
 * Provides support for software products in user environments
 * Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups
 * Participates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product
 * Participates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team's backlog
