## About the Role

* Experience in a senior IT support or IT engineering role.

 * Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
 * Proven ability to manage hardware and software projects through to completion.
 * Strong troubleshooting, organisational and communication skills.
 * Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
 * A proactive approach to improving processes and developing teams.
 * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
 * Managing or developing an IT team or department.

Desirable Experience

 * AV systems, projector calibration and commissioning.
 * Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or similar systems.
 * PC building, networking infrastructure and LED displays.
 * Click Up or similar project management software.
 * Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile.

## Description

Gener8 is a growing business looking for an experienced Senior IT & Projects Engineer to help manage, develop and strengthen our IT department.

This is a hands-on role combining technical IT support, Audio Visual (AV) commissioning, project management and team development.

You will be responsible for managing IT workloads, coordinating projects, supporting internal users and customers, and ensuring our IT systems and services meet the needs of a growing business.

A key part of the role is developing the IT department by improving processes, allocating work, supporting team members and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

You will also visit customer sites to commission AV systems, configure equipment and ensure meeting rooms are fully operational. Physical AV installation is not routinely required., IT Department Management

 * Help manage and develop the IT department as Gener8 grows.
 * Allocate workloads, prioritise tasks and coordinate the IT team.
 * Improve processes, procedures and technical standards.
 * Support team development, training and performance.
 * Manage internal IT infrastructure, systems, hardware and software.
 * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and security.

IT Support & Infrastructure

 * Provide second- and third-line support to internal users and external customers.
 * Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues.
 * Configure and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft 365.
 * Build, upgrade and deploy desktop PCs and workstations.
 * Support the BLIS platform and maintain accurate IT asset records.

Project Management

 * Manage internal IT projects and customer hardware and software deliveries from planning through to completion.
 * Plan schedules, allocate resources and track progress using ClickUp.
 * Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and customers.
 * Manage deadlines, procurement, risks and changing priorities.
 * Keep stakeholders informed and ensure projects are properly documented and handed over.

AV Commissioning & Customer Support

 * Visit customer sites to configure, test and commission AV systems.
 * Set up and calibrate projectors and displays.
 * Diagnose AV hardware, connectivity and configuration issues.
 * Carry out maintenance, software updates and performance checks.
 * Work with installation teams to ensure systems meet customer requirements.
 * Provide technical guidance and complete commissioning documentation.
