## About the Role

 * 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience
 * Strong commercial experience with React
 * Backend development experience with Node.js, Express.js and Python
 * Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to build intuitive digital products
 * Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices
 * Experience reviewing code and mentoring developers across frontend and backend technologies
 * Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor
 * Commercial experience building proof of concepts, MVPs and greenfield applications
 * Experience with Microsoft Azure and Docker/containerised applications
 * Strong understanding of OAuth, authentication and secure API design
 * Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
 * Proactive, product-focused mindset and passion for solving complex problems
 * Desirable: experience with AI-powered applications, LLMs, generative AI, microservices, GraphQL, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, event-driven architecture, Agile product development or WCAG accessibility

## Description

* Design and build full-stack applications from concept through to production
 * Develop proof of concepts, prototypes and MVPs for AI-driven products
 * Architect scalable, maintainable software solutions
 * Build modern user interfaces using React and collaborate with UX/UI designers on user experiences
 * Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js and Python
 * Design and implement secure authentication and authorisation using OAuth
 * Build and integrate cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure

Youll join a small, highly experienced engineering team and work closely with Product, Design, AI and Engineering colleagues to turn ideas into prototypes, MVPs and scalable products. The permanent position is based in London, with hybrid working requiring three days per week in the office. Salary is £65,000-£75,000.
