## About the Role

* Significant experience in IT service delivery or IT operations management.
 * Proven experience leading and developing IT support or operations teams.
 * Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service management practices.
 * Broad technical understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud services, infrastructure, networks and business applications.
 * Experience managing third-party suppliers, service-level agreements and service performance.
 * Confidence handling major incidents, escalations and operational challenges.
 * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
 * A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.

Above all, we're looking for someone who can quickly establish themselves within an existing team, take ownership of day-to-day operations and make a positive contribution from the outset.

## Description

We're working with an established organisation in Surrey that is looking for an experienced and proactive IT Services & Operations Manager to join its team on an initial six-month temporary assignment.

This is a varied and responsible position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys leading people, keeping essential IT services running smoothly and finding practical ways to improve service delivery.

Reporting into senior IT leadership, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of IT services and operations, supporting an established team and ensuring technology services remain reliable, secure and responsive to business needs.

 * Full time, Monday to Friday - office based
 * 6 month assignment (potential to extend)
 * £64K FTE (37.28 per hour including holiday pay)

What will you be doing?

 * Leading and supporting an IT operations team, including service desk and technical support functions.
 * Overseeing the day-to-day performance and availability of IT systems and services.
 * Managing incidents, service requests, technical issues and operational escalations.
 * Monitoring service performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
 * Managing relationships with external IT suppliers and service providers.
 * Supporting the introduction of new systems and technology into live operations.
 * Coordinating IT changes, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
 * Supporting business continuity, disaster recovery and operational risk management.
