## About the Role

* PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related discipline.

 * Minimum of 10 years of postdoctoral experience

 * Outstanding scientific record demonstrating excellence and international visibility.

 * Proven expertise in Computational Pathology, Medical Image Analysis, Artificial Intelligence or closely related research fields.

 * Proven capacity to attract competitive research funding.

 * Experience supervising researchers and students.

 * Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

 * Whole Slide Image analysis.

 * Foundation Models and Large Vision Models., * Experience in team building and supervision.

 * Capacity to establish collaborations with academic, clinical and industrial partners.

 * Ability to contribute to the scientific development and international visibility of CVC

## Description

The selected candidate will:

 * Lead an internationally competitive research programme in Computational Pathology, Multimodal AI and Precision Medicine.

 * Develop innovative research addressing scientific and societal challenges in healthcare.

 * Secure external funding through European, national and regional research programmes.

 * Supervise doctoral researchers, postdoctoral researchers and technical staff.

 * Promote interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside CVC.

 * Contribute to scientific dissemination, innovation and technology transfer activities.

 * Foster the translation of research outcomes into clinical practice and healthcare innovation.

 * Support the strategic development of CVC in Artificial Intelligence for Health., The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system consisting of the following phases:
 * Eligibility review.

 * Scientific evaluation of the applications by an expert committee.

 * Interview and research seminar by shortlisted candidates.

 * Final recommendation and appointment.

The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback.
