## About the Role

* Experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering or Technology Architecture.
 * Strong enterprise experience with Microsoft Azure Data and Analytics.
 * Hands-on architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Databricks/Synapse.
 * Strong knowledge of data modelling, data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses and data integration.
 * Experience with data governance, security, privacy and Microsoft Purview.
 * Understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI data architectures.
 * Proven experience leading technical teams and large-scale transformation programmes.
 * Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
 * Experience in consulting, systems integration or large enterprise environments is desirable
 * Complex programme planning and delivery in the data and AI domains

## Description

* Oversee the development of use-case and platform technology solutions to tackle critical business challenges, using both reference and emerging technologies, engineering patterns, and AI Services.
 * Define enterprise data strategies, target architectures and transformation roadmaps.
 * Architect modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Power BI.
 * Design scalable data lake, lakehouse, data warehouse and data integration solutions.
 * Establish data governance, security, quality, metadata and lineage using Microsoft Purview.
 * Provide architecture leadership for Data & AI, analytics and Generative AI initiatives.
 * Lead architecture reviews, technology selection and technical assurance across major programmes.
 * Engage with CIO, CTO, CDO and senior technology stakeholders to shape data strategy and solutions.
 * Support solution shaping, proposals, estimates and business development activities.
 * Build strong relationships with clients and Microsoft technology partners.
 * Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions from inception to production and operationalisation, ensuring alignment with client needs and technical excellence.
 * Provide strategic and technical leadership, shaping technology roadmaps, mentoring other developers, and fostering team growth. While ensuring the correct data architecture and patterns are used to solve the required problem. Play a pivotal
