## About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, technically capable individual who combines strong systems knowledge with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ideally, you'll have:

 * Previous experience in a Finance Systems Analyst, Finance Systems Administrator or similar role.
 * Strong SQL skills, with the ability to independently write and execute queries.
 * Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables and data manipulation.
 * Experience supporting financial systems, including integrations, upgrades and system improvements.
 * An understanding of finance processes and how systems support business operations.
 * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.

## Description

We are recruiting for a Finance Systems Analyst to join a well-established and highly regarded business based in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting and developing finance systems who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes and working collaboratively across different departments.

Working as part of the wider Finance team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the organisation's financial systems, supporting users, troubleshooting technical issues and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through technology., * Manage, maintain and support a range of financial systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

 * Troubleshoot system issues, working closely with Finance, IT and other internal stakeholders.
 * Create and execute SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis and system requirements.
 * Support system integrations, upgrades, testing and new implementations.
 * Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve workflows and enhance system functionality.
 * Maintain system configurations, user access, standing data and reconciliations.
 * Produce ad-hoc reports and support data extraction using Excel, Power Query and SQL.
 * Assist with finance-related projects, including month-end and year-end activities.
 * Document processes, support internal controls and provide training to system users.
